We are excited to announce that as of November 1st we are taking part in a new recycling program called Green Circle Salons!
The Green Circle Salon program will collect all of the materials we don’t currently have solutions for such as: colour waste, hair, foils, colour tubes, aerosol and food/drink cans, gloves, batteries, bulbs, e-waste and more. The total amount now being diverted from landfill will equal 90-95% of our salon’s waste.
Here is a link to a CTV article about the program.
We are so exited to be on board and support our environment! You may notice a small increase in the price of your services to accommodate this new program. Services that will NOT be affected are: kids cuts, bang trims, blow-drys and up-do’s.
Thank you for going green with us!

Art by Ash: a night of introductions:
You are invited to an evening of art and introductions by emerging local artist, Arielle Houghton (Ash)! The soiree will take place on Saturday, February 13th from 7:30 to 9:30 pm here at DM&Company. We will feature a collection of acrylic and water colour works completed over the last several years.
The event will include complimentary wine and door prizes for our guests. There will also be open discussion and activities regarding Arielle’s introduction into the art community as well as her involvement in local activism.

She has been painting since she was a child and is currently studying her Bachelors of Commerce at the University of Victoria. Her passion for people, nature and vibrant colours comes out in her varying artwork and activism.
